Perched on distinct V-shaped pilotis above a parking space, the Ashfield House at Resolution Road, Ashby de la Zouch, is a modern emblem of architectural innovation. Designed for Ashfield Healthcare by renowned architects shedkm and Michael Jones Architects, this edifice built by John Sisk & Son showcases a perfect blend of aesthetics, functionality, and modernism.
The standout architectural and construction technique implemented in the Ashfield House project was the:
The building is majestically elevated, presenting 3,000m² of open-plan office space held aloft on distinct V-shaped columns. This innovative approach cleared ground space for a sizable car park, capable of housing over 100 vehicles. The internal structure was meticulously designed, with a central boulevard functioning as its core, leading to various offices, a modern training center, and an inviting café/restaurant. An emphasis on fostering a connection between the interior and exterior was achieved through strategic placement of floor-to-ceiling glazing, maximizing natural light and offering occupants panoramic views.
Diverse premium materials, notably aluminium sliding doors, marble, and steel, were sourced to underline the project's unwavering commitment to quality. Collaborative efforts from multiple entities enhanced the project’s success:
Key suppliers, including Roydens Engineering, Reynaers, Acheson and Glover, and JW Smith, ensured top-tier components graced every corner of the building.
